It is equipped with 32 perception sensors and features the XPILOT 3.5 intelligent assisted driving system, supporting Urban NGP functionality.On April 12, 2021, the Xiaopeng P5 electric sedan was officially unveiled. Deliveries of the new vehicle are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021, with its debut set to take place at the Shanghai International Auto Show on April 19 . As of April 21, 15:16, the total accumulated orders for the Xiaopeng P5 have exceeded ten thousand.On September 15, 2021, the Xiaopeng P5 was officially launched for sale, with deliveries starting at the end of October 2021 . On March 11, 2022, Xiaopeng Motors announced that the Xiaopeng P5 is now available for pre-order in four European countries: Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.On May 9, 2022, the brand made adjustments to the configuration, pricing, and benefits of some models. The Xiaopeng P5 will introduce a new 460P variant.

The Xiaopeng P5 has a length of 4808mm, a wheelbase of 2768mm, and offers a comprehensive NEDC range of 600km. The front of the vehicle features an active grille and hidden retractable electric door handles, while the overall vehicle boasts an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.223.

At the front sides of the car, Livox, a subsidiary of Livox Technology, provides the HAP LiDAR, with a single horizontal field of view of 120°. It can detect low-reflectivity objects up to 150 meters away, with a high angular resolution of 0.16°*0.2° and a point cloud density equivalent to that of a 144-line LiDAR. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with five millimeter-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic sensors, and thirteen cameras. Furthermore, it features a high-precision positioning unit (GPU+IMU) that enables NGP automatic navigation assistance, covering high-speed, urban expressways, and some urban roads.

The Xiaopeng P5 has a body structure with a high proportion of high-strength steel, reaching 46.8%, and ultra-high-strength steel accounting for 13.8%. The X-Safety active and passive safety system provides functions such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and distance reminders.

It comes with the X-HP intelligent thermal management system that includes a heat pump air conditioner, ensuring passenger compartment comfort. The battery pack of this vehicle has an IP68 water resistance rating and adopts a thermally non-propagating safety design, providing protection against punctures.

Equipped with the Xmart OS 3.0 intelligent infotainment system, the Xiaopeng P5 offers a wide range of entertainment features and supports smartphone Bluetooth digital key unlocking. It is powered by the third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip, with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, delivering powerful computing performance. The vehicle also supports voice control of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone, with real-time video transmission to the central control screen.
